Product description

This hybrid Hibiscus brings real tropical drama to your outdoor space: large, ruffled flowers in a soft peach-orange that deepens to a rich red-magenta eye at the centre. Set against glossy green leaves, it blooms in repeated flushes through the warm months, with new buds forming as the old flowers fade. Choose it in a Grow Pot, Aqua Pot or Self-Watering Pot, and it arrives potted and ready for your balcony, terrace or garden — usually in bud, ready to open in the sun.

Big, ruffled, tropical blooms in peach-orange with a deep red eye — showstopper flowers for your sunny balcony.

Plant Details

  • Botanical Name: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (hybrid)
  • Common Names: Hibiscus, Gudhal, Jaswand, Jasud, Shoe Flower
  • Family: Malvaceae
  • Colour: Peach-orange flowers with a deep red-magenta eye; glossy green leaves
  • Plant Characteristics: Woody, Flowering, Large Blooms, Repeat Flowering
  • Plant Height at Dispatch: 25–40 cm (including pot)
  • Suitable Space: Sunny balcony, terrace, garden, gate

Why You Will Love It

    • Huge, showy blooms: ruffled flowers — far bigger and showier than regular desi gudhal.

    • Two-tone beauty: soft peach-orange petals with a deep red eye make every flower eye-catching.

    • Repeat flowering: blooms in flushes through the warm months, with new buds forming as old flowers fade.

    • Loves the Indian sun: thrives on sunny balconies and terraces with regular watering.

    • Your pot, your style: pick a Grow Pot, Aqua Pot or Self-Watering Pot — the reservoir pots help keep this thirsty plant evenly watered.

    • A vibrant gift: a cheerful choice for new homes, balconies and terrace gardeners.

    Inside The Box

    • Hibiscus Orange  (Live Plant)
    • Selected Pot
    • Pre-moistened growing medium

    Please Note

The plant you receive may slightly vary from the image shown due to natural growth — height, branches and number of buds vary; it will usually arrive in bud rather than in full bloom. Flower shade can look lighter or deeper with sunlight and season.

    How To Care

    • Light: Hibiscus needs full sun — at least 4–6 hours of direct sunlight every day — to flower. In shade it grows leaves but drops its buds. Keep it on your sunniest balcony, terrace or garden spot.

    • Water: Hibiscus is thirsty. Keep the soil evenly moist — never bone dry, never soggy. Summer (March–June) daily or every 1–2 days; monsoon (July–September) every 3–4 days, only when the top soil is dry; winter (October–February) every 3–4 days. Uneven watering is the most common cause of bud drop.

    • Reservoir pots (Aqua Pot / Self-Watering Pot): in summer keep the reservoir about half to three-quarters full — it helps on hot days; in monsoon and winter keep it low or empty and water from the top as needed.

    • Soil: Rich, well-draining mix (garden soil + compost + coco peat + perlite).

    • Feeding: Bloom-booster or potassium-rich fertiliser every 2–3 weeks, February–October, for more and bigger flowers. Feed lightly in winter.

    • Pest care: Hibiscus can attract mealybugs, aphids and whitefly. Check under the leaves weekly and spray diluted neem oil every 2 weeks as prevention.

    • Pruning: Lightly trim branch tips after a flowering flush to keep it bushy — new growth carries new buds. Remove faded flowers.

    • Repotting: Move to a 10–12 inch pot after 4–6 months for more blooms.
