What size grow bag is best for Hibiscus?

Hibiscus Growing Season In India

You can sow hibiscus seeds indoors or outdoors in spring, summer, rainy, and autumn (March-September) in a frost-free area.

How To Grow Hibiscus From Seeds

You can sow hibiscus seeds either directly in a pot or by seedling transplant method when the soil temperature is about 21-25°C. The size of the pot or grow bag for planting hibiscus is 30-36 cm wide and deep.

Hibiscus Mix Seeds Sowing Method

Take a seedling tray or 5-8 cm pot, fill them with potting soil mix (or make a potting mix by mixing 90% cocopeat and 10% vermicompost), and sow 2 hibiscus seeds per cell at a depth of 0.5 cm in the soil. Water the potting mix gently through a watering can. Keep the seedling tray in a warm and bright area with indirect light as hibiscus seeds will not germinate in the dark. Hibiscus seeds take 1-3 weeks to germinate.
Transplant hibiscus seedlings to an individual pot when seedlings are 12-15 cm Tall. For healthy growth of the plant, plant only 1-2 seedlings in a 30 cm pot. Keep the soil moist and place the pot in partial sunlight for a few days after transplanting to protect the seedling from transplant shock. After 3 days, keep the pot in sunlight.

Best Fertilizer For Hibiscus Plant

Feed hibiscus with organic potash fertilizer and vermicompost during its growing season for better growth of the plant.

Hibiscus Flower Plants Care Tips

Soil - Use well-drained, moist, fertile, and loamy soil to plant hibiscus.
Water - Hibiscus needs regular water and consistent moisture in the soil.
Sunlight - Hibiscus prefers bright conditions and grows best in 4-6 hours of direct sunlight however, it can tolerate partial shade during hot summer.
Temperature - Hibiscus grows best in warm climates and temperatures between 18-35°C and does not flower well in temperatures below 12°C.
Common pests and diseases - Not any serious diseases infect the hibiscus plant but pests like red spiders, mites, and aphids inhibit the growth of plants. Therefore, you can use neem oil to control these insects.
