You can sow cauliflower seeds directly in pots or can be grown in seedling trays with cocopeat or potting mix about 1.7 cm deep in the soil. Keep the pot or seedling tray indoors with an area of indirect light; cauliflower seeds will germinate in 6-8 days; keep the soil moist. Transplant the seedling within 21 to 25 days (plant the sapling along with their root balls and do not damage the root system).

Soil – The cauliflower plant requires consistent soil moisture. For better growth of plants use well-drained, fertile soil high in organic matter with pH 6.0 to 7.5.
Sunlight – Cauliflower needs at least 6 hours of full sunlight also it can tolerate partial shade but will slow maturity.
Temperature – The ideal temperature for cauliflower plants is from 15- 30 degrees Celsius.
Fertilizer – For better results on cauliflower plants, side dress the plant with a nitrogen fertilizer and feed for 2-4 weeks with any organic fertilizer like Neem cakecow manure, or vermicompost.
Water – Cauliflower does not require much water; it needs only 2.5 - 5 cm of water in a week.
Mulch – Add mulch to maintain moisture in the cauliflower plant.
Common pests – Usually pests like cabbageworm, cabbage root maggot, aphids, black rot, and clubroot found in cauliflower plants; treat your plant immediately with organic pesticides such as neem oil’.

How to Harvest Cauliflower

Cauliflower will take about  85 to 90 days to harvest; When the head is compact, thick, and white then it is ready to harvest. Identically when the heads grow 12-20 cm in diameter; cut the head off the plant with a large knife. If the heads are very small in size and have started to open up then you have to cut them.
