Carrot Early Nantes Growing Season In India

You can sow carrot seeds all season but it grows quickly in the fall to winter (October-December) and the rainy season ( June-August) because it is like wet soil and cold weather.

How To Grow Early Nantes Carrot In Pots

Carrot seeds should be sown directly into final pots or grow bags because they may not grow well with transplants. The optimum soil temperature for the germination of carrot seeds is 15-26°C.

Carrot Early Nantes Seeds Sowing Method

Sow the carrot early Nantes seeds about 0.5-1 cm deep in the potting mix at a distance of 5-8 cm from each seed. Give water gently, keep the soil moist, and keep the seedlings in a sunny spot. Carrot seeds will germinate in 7-14 days (depending on growing conditions).

When To Fertilize Bright Orange Carrot

Apply a low-nitrogen but high-phosphorous and potassium organic fertilizer to carrot plants after 4-5 weeks of sowing because excess nitrogen in the soil will encourage foliage growth and not carrots.

Harvested my first batch of carrots.

I have happily harvested the first batch of carrots (Early Nantes variety). They took almost 2 and half months to harvest. Didn't find the carrots to be that sweet.I wish I hadn't planted them so close to each other though.
