Alyssum Royal Carpet Growing Season In India

Alyssum is typically grown as a winter annual in India, with the best growing season from October to February. Avoid planting during the hot summer months.

How To Grow Alyssum Royal

Alyssum can be planted either directly in a pot or by seedling transplant method when the temperature is around 10-21°C for seed germination. To plant alyssum, you need a pot or grow bag at least 17-35 cm wide and deep with proper drainage.

Alyssum Royal Carpet Blue Seeds Sowing Method

Take a seedling tray, fill it with potting mix, and then spread the alyssum flower seeds over the soil. Cover the seeds with a sprinkling of the potting mix because alyssum seeds are very small and it need light to germinate. Place the seedling tray in a bright spot until the seeds germinate. Water the soil gently and keep them moist. Alyssum seeds germinate in 5-14 days.
When the first true leaves appear, you need to transplant the seedlings into a larger pot. During transplanting, a distance of about 10-12 cm should be maintained between the seedlings for the healthy growth of the plants. If you sow the seeds indoors, you need to harden the seedling.

Best Fertilizer For Alyssum Flower Plant

Alyssum does not require special fertilizer, however, monthly feedings of a water-soluble or well-balanced fertilizer are good for plant growth.
