Green amaranth (Chaulai) thrives in warm temperatures between (20°C to 35°C) and can tolerate slightly higher or lower temperatures.

How To Grow Green Amaranth

Green amaranth seeds should be sown directly rather than transplanted. Green amaranth grows very fast in a warm climate and the best germination temperature is 18 to 27℃.

Green Amaranth Seeds Sowing Method

Select a pot/grow bag and fill it with potting soil mix. Spread the green amaranth seeds on it, then cover a thin layer of soil above the seeds. Give light water through a water sprayer and keep the soil moist. Keep the pot in a shaded area because green amaranth seed does not need light to germinate. It will germinate within 6-10 days.

How To Fertilize Green Amaranth

Use nitrogen-rich liquid fertilizer after seed germination but excessive nitrogen can cause the plants to become leggy and less suitable for harvesting.
